Steering Committee Releases RFP

The Town of Dryden Planning Board developed and issued a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Comprehensive Plan Update on May 31, 2019. The Town of Dryden prepared its first “General Plan” in 1968. The 25-year plan set forth a vision for a “pleasant and efficient physical environment” based on guiding principles to “protect that which is worth protecting, conserve that which is worth conserving, and improve that which needs improving.”

Dryden Town Board Establishes Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee

At the April 18, 2019 meeting of the Town of Dryden Town Board, the board adopted a resolution requesting that the Planning Board manage a general update to the Town Comprehensive Plan utilizing “an open and transparent process that includes Town staff, boards and commissions, and the citizens of Dryden.” The Board resolution also requested that the Town Planning Board engage the services of a planning consultant to prepare the update that is scheduled to be completed and delivered to the Town Board no later than June 30, 2021.
